Taeyoung Kim
Having lived extensively in 7 different cities in 6 different countries that she now affectionately calls her "home," she is interested in the impact of globalization on human mobility, international trade, international development, transnational identities and human rights. At IQSS, she works with Professor Beth Simmons and she codes official border presence along international corridors. She is interested in learning and researching more about the different immigration policies and the rationales, effects, and amendments, from a comparative perspective. Outside of the classroom, she spends her time volunteering at PBHA, exploring the city (museums, plays, movies, historical sites), drawing and reading.
