Yoly Yue Liu
PhD Student in Education Policy, GSAS/HGSE
Yoly Yue Liu is a PhD student studying how education drives systemic change. Her research uses causal inference to identify effective education policies and practices in low- and middle-income countries. Through field experiments, she investigates how teaching practices can cultivate intrinsically motivated, interactive, and lasting learning; how communities can mobilize local resources to support learning and address local challenges; and how stakeholders can collaborate to foster a learning culture rooted in local realities. Before her PhD, Yoly worked as a policy researcher with United Nations agencies.
