My research interests are in social network analysis, causal inference, political sociology, and ecoNomic history. With IQSS support, I am currently working with a network scientist to create a very large dataset of social media usage during the 2016 election. I am also currently working on two smaller scale social network analysis projects, one concerning financial markets in the 17th century and aNother examining friendships in American high schools in the 1990s.
