Our labs are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, however CGIS Knafel Building access is required to acccess our labs after the building closes for the day.
CGIS Knafel Building (academic year):
- Monday through Friday: 7 AM to 10 PM
- Sunday: 1 PM to 9 PM
During school holidays (including spring break) and summer months, CGIS Knafel Building is open as follows:
- Monday through Friday: 7 AM to 7 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Email Request:
To request access, a faculty member or a senior administrative sponsor from Harvard should send an encrypted email containing the HUID of the person needing access to the following:

CGIS Building Operations will grant your access and reply to the original email, generally within 24 hours. Lab staff have no control over this process.
