Access & Assistance

Help Desk Assistance

Our lab assistants are available to help our patrons with issues such as account creation, HarvardKey, printer issues, item loaners, and general lab related workstation assistance. Our assistants are not trained in IT but will make the best effort towards solving any lab software or hardware issue brought to their attention. 

Computer Access

We are a restricted access computer lab, meaning that our computer labs use University active directory accounts that must be flagged for use in our labs prior to logging in. New patrons can do this by signing up for lab access, which will be granted quickly during regular business hours (Mon - Fri, 9 AM to 5 PM)

MIT patrons who do not have University active directory accounts may also sign up for lab access, and we will sponsor an account for your use. Please note that this process may take several business days to complete for new users.
